What messaging steps are available in Topo sequences?

Context
When building a sequence in Topo, you may want to know which messaging step types are available to engage with your leads across different channels.
Answer
Topo supports the following messaging steps in a sequence. For any of them, click on the trash icon at the top right to delete the step, or down below on "Add step" to add another step of any type.
Compose a message by specifying a subject line and body content.
You can click on "Add variables" to insert a variable in the subject line.
The email body editor gives you the possibility to edit your email body thanks to a wide variety of tools. Click on the (x) icon to insert variables (recipient, sender or AI variables).
You can also include hyperlinks or images, even though we don't recommend it as they hurt deliverability.
When adding a subsequent email step, you can decide whether Topo should send it in the same thread or in another, in the latter case you'll need to write a different subject line.
LinkedIn Invitation
Send a connection request to a LinkedIn user. This step is mandatory for LinkedIn outreach.
Configure the behavior if the connection already exists by choosing to either continue the sequence or stop it.
Choose whether to include a message in the connection request, or skip the message.
LinkedIn Message
Send a direct message to an existing LinkedIn connection. Set a delay before the message is sent to simulate natural communication timing.
This step cannot be sent if a connection doesn't exist; select the number of days to wait for the prospect to accept the connection before the step fails.
Then, define fallback behavior in case the message cannot be sent: either skip the step or stop the entire sequence for the lead.
Note that this messaging step can only be customized with variables, due to LinkedIn restrictions.
LinkedIn InMail
Reach out to LinkedIn members outside your immediate network using InMail. This step supports three account types:
Premium (classic)
Sales Navigator
Recruiter
Write a subject line (without variables) and an InMail body.
Call
Create a call task assigned to the lead. You can set the sequence to pause until the call task is completed, ensuring follow-up actions are timely.
Note: leads without phone numbers will automatically skip this step.
Use a different Identity
In every one of the above step, you can choose to override the sequence's selected Sender Identities, in order to use a different one just for that specific step.
To do this, click on Sequence default and select an Identity.
Customer example:
Create a sequence with the Sender Identities of your SDRs. Then, add a last email step selecting the Sender Identity of your CEO.
This way, all the steps will be sent from your SDRs' accounts, except the last one, who'll be sent from your CEO's to add leverage to your sequence.
