Approving or archiving a lead (Copilot mode)

Last updated: October 16, 2026

In Copilot mode, new leads land in the To review tab of the Tasks page, waiting for your approval before Topo starts the sequence.

The task shows the lead's details and the sequence they would be enrolled in.

Go to Tasks in the sidebar, then open the To review tab. This is where you approve or refuse each lead, and personalise the sequence for each one.

Click Edit sequence to change the steps for this lead, or Delete a step you don't need.

Actions

  • Approve & Enroll (⌘ Enter) — approves the lead and starts the sequence

  • Refuse — declines the lead; no sequence is started

  • Archive (⌘⌫) — moves to the next task without taking action. The lead remains in Tasks and will not progress through the sequence until you return and approve it.

Use the arrow next to Archive to also exclude the lead, or their whole company: Archive & exclude lead, Archive & exclude company. To deal with a lead later, Snooze it (S).

Note: Leads will only progress through sequences after you click "Approve & Enroll". Leads that are archived or left unapproved in Tasks will remain at step 0 and will not receive any outreach.

Understanding Task Status: When a task shows as "Done" in the Tasks page, this only means you've completed the approval action (Approve & Enroll, Refuse, or Skip). It does not indicate that the sequence has finished running or that any messages have been sent to the lead. A lead can have a "Done" task status while its sequence is still in progress, has failed, or hasn't started sending yet.
