Making a call from Tasks
Last updated: May 29, 2026
When a lead reaches a Call step in a sequence, a call task is created in your queue. The task shows the lead's phone number and an icebreaker panel with context to help you open the conversation.
Icebreakers are organised into four sections:
Company (company-level signals),
Person (contact-level signals),
Sequence (where the lead is in the sequence),
Unique insight (AI-generated from additional signals ).
To make the call
Click Call Now. This opens your computer's dialer with the number pre-filled.
Once the call ends, click the button again to close the task and move to the next one.
Recording the call outcome
After the call ends, record the outcome before closing the task:
Answered — the lead picked up
Voicemail — you left a voicemail
No answer — no one picked up
If you have a reminder rule set for unanswered or voicemail calls, the task will reopen automatically after the configured duration.
Leads without a phone number skip the Call step automatically — no task is created for them.
