Why does Topo send follow-ups before contacting new leads?
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Each sender has a daily limit. Topo uses it in this order:
Next steps for contacts already in a sequence.
New leads, with whatever capacity is left.
This makes sure people who got your first message also get the rest of your sequence.
What you may notice: on busy days, few or no new leads start, even though your sequences are sending. That's expected.
To start more new leads:
add mailboxes or senders
lower the daily targets on your sequences (if your senders are already serving several sequences)
wait for capacity to be available again before starting new sequences
Settings → Senders → Capacity shows how much room your senders have. Its Sending capacity bar counts new leads only, so follow-ups come on top of it.
