Identities

Last updated: June 11, 2026

A Sender Identity represents a real Topo user. It contains first name, last name, and job title — and groups one or more Email Senders + one LinkedIn Sender. Every sequence is assigned to an Identity; a Sender cannot be used in any sequence unless linked to an Identity. Each sender (email address or LinkedIn account) can only be linked to one sender identity at a time. To associate a sender with a different identity, you must first unlink it from its current identity.

Creating or editing an Identity

One Topo seat corresponds to one Identity. This means that each user can only create one Identity.

Once the new user accesses Topo the first time, they will be asked to create their identity.

If this step is skipped, the user can still create their Identity by going into Settings → Sender Identity → Create Identity → fill first name, last name, job title → Save.

Missing fields prevent the Identity from being assigned to sequences.

Identity across multiple sequences

Sending capacity is evenly distributed. Example: 1 Identity with 30 email Senders assigned to 2 equal-volume sequences → behaves like 15 Senders per sequence.

Multiple Identities in one Sequence

You can assign multiple Identities to a single sequence to rotate between different sales representatives. This enables automatic rotation across different senders—each with its own name, email address, and LinkedIn account—within the same sequence.

To do that, in your Sequence settings, click on the tab "Advanced" and activate Multi-identity channels.
