Engage Settings
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Engage settings are under ⚙ Settings → Engage. This is where you configure how your outreach engine runs — lead approval, ownership, and hot-lead scoring.
Lead approval
Choose whether new leads are automatically activated or require manual approval before outreach begins. Lead Approval Mode sets the org-wide default:
Autopilot — leads are automatically activated for outreach as soon as they are assigned.
Copilot — new leads land in the Tasks queue and wait for manual approval before any message is sent.
This is the default applied across your workspace. You can then choose whether to keep or override the mode in each sequence. See 📄 Approving or declining a lead (Copilot mode)for how approvals work in the queue.
Assignment
Decide how new leads are assigned an owner across your sequences by default. Existing assignments are preserved when you switch modes.
Owner assignment | Behaviour |
|---|---|
Per sequence | Assignment follows the configuration set on each sequence. |
Per contact | All future tasks for a contact go to the team member who owns that contact. |
Per company | All tasks for contacts at a company go to the team member who owns that company. Recommended for ABM and account-based outbound. |
Warning: this is a global setting that applies to the whole workspace. It should be set up during onboarding and never touched again. We do not recommend to change this setting after onboarding.
Please speak with your workspace's admin before making changes to this setting.
Hot Lead Detection
Configure how hot leads are detected based on engagement activity.
Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Open Points | Points awarded when a lead opens an email. |
Click Points | Points awarded when a lead clicks a link. |
Threshold | Minimum points required to mark a lead as hot. |
Time Window (Days) | Number of days to look back for engagement events. |
Example: open points 1, click points 2, threshold 6, time window 7 — over the last 7 days, any lead reaching 6 points is marked hot, with clicks weighted twice as much as opens.
