How do I find leads at companies I already have?

Last updated: September 8, 2026

Context

You have a set of companies you care about, whether they are target accounts, existing customers, or a segment from your CRM, and you want to find new people to contact at them.

Worth knowing up front: there is no button on an account row that does this. The workflow starts from a lead search. There are two ways in.

Option 1: ask the agent

The quickest route. Describe what you want in plain language and point the agent at the account list, for example "find heads of sales at the companies in my Target Accounts list".

The agent builds the lead search, applies the list as a constraint, and returns every matching result for you to review before importing.

Option 2: build the search yourself

Use this when you want precise control over the targeting.

  1. Start a new lead search, from Search in the left sidebar, from Lists, or from Accounts or Contacts via Import accounts or Import contacts then Import from Lead Search.

  2. Add the Account Lists filter.

  3. Select one or more of your saved account lists.

  4. Add whatever persona filters you need on top, such as job title, seniority or department.

The search now only returns people working at companies in those lists.

Which to use

Ask the agent when you want a result quickly and the targeting is easy to describe. Build it yourself when you are layering several filters and want to see exactly what is applied.
